Limbic System contains the Hippocampus, Amygdala, Hypothalamus, and Cingulate Gyrus, and Thalamus

• mainly responsible for managing emotion, memory, and basic survival behaviors.
• sits underneath the Cerebral Cortex and above the Brainstem
