This one also recently got a video done by 3Blue1Brown explaining how you can use complex plane mappings to take a Draste Effect image, effectively representing scale much more efficiently. In the case of print gallery, it allows for a self contained picture that takes a 250x draste effect, which you would not be able to see easily with the naked eye, and instead allows the viewer to experience scale through rotation and exploration of the eyes.
